Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park - Malaysia
The Butterfly Park, Kuala Lumpur is located inside the Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur. The Butterfly Park is one of the five gardens and parks which make up the Lake Gardens. The Butterfly Park has an extensive collection of over 6000 butterflies from more than 120 species.
This is the largest butterfly garden in the world spanning over 80,000 sq ft of landscaped garden with over 5,000 live butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns. Other attractions are japanese koi fish, fresh water turtles, live insects and a museum with a large collection of butterflies and insects from around the world.
Water features were found in abundance at the park in the form of manmadestreams, ponds, waterfalls, and fountains.
This concept enables the butterflies to breed freely and at the same time provide visitors the opportunity to appreciate the wonderful gift of nature. The park also hosts to a number of nursery and breeding areas where different species of butterflies are bred to ensure their survival.
